A liberal homosexual ACLU lawyer professor and abortion doctor was teaching a class on Karl Marx.

”Before the class begins," he demanded, "you must get on your knees and worship Marx and accept that he was the most highly-evolved being the world has ever known, even greater than Jesus Christ!”

At this moment, a brave, patriotic, pro-life Navy SEAL champion who had served 1500 tours of duty and understood the necessity of war and fully supported all military decision made by the United States stood up and held up a rock.

”How old is this rock, pinhead?”

The arrogant professor smirked and smugly replied “4.6 billion years, you stupid Christian”

”Wrong. It’s been 5,000 years since God created it. If it was 4.6 billion years old and evolution, as you say, is real… then it should be an animal now”

The professor was visibly shaken, and dropped his chalk and copy of Origin of the Species. He stormed out of the room crying those liberal crocodile tears. The same tears liberals cry for the “poor” (who today live in such luxury that most own refrigerators) when they jealously try to claw justly earned wealth from the deserving job creators. There is no doubt that at this point our professor, DeShawn Washington, wished he had pulled himself up by his bootstraps and become more than a sophist liberal professor. He wished so much that he had a gun to shoot himself from embarrassment, but he himself had petitioned against them!

The students applauded and all registered Republican that day and accepted Jesus as their lord and savior. An eagle named “Small Government” flew into the room and perched atop the American Flag and shed a tear on the chalk. The pledge of allegiance was read several times, and God himself showed up and enacted a flat tax rate across the country.

The professor lost his tenure and was fired the next day. He died of the gay plague AIDS and was tossed into the lake of fire for all eternity.

Semper Fi.

This is the greatest thing that I have ever read.

EDIT: There is at least one person in the world who would unironically applaud after reading this story. I want to find this person and laugh at him.

...so confused

I realized 2/3's of the way through that it was sarcasm.

In a way this is one of the worst places you could post this, lol.

What is this bollocks?

I think I will go on with my life as though I did not read it because I cannot be bothered with such rubbish. And for the record No I do not own a refrigerator.

I have no words to address this thread. Except for those that preceded this sentence.

I actually first thought it was a joke that would lead to a punchline and have some sort of a twist which it didn't. I don't see the sarcasm in it though, where's the irony? What a weird... uhh... whatever this is supposed to be.

It's a parody of a genre of story that is shared among rightwingers, where they get pleasure out of seeing arrogant lefties get their comeuppance. However, it is so over-the-top that it becomes a joke at right-wingers' expense.

It is a joke that was posted as a chain letter and soon became a forum troll on 4chan and reddit. It is a parody of a similar, somewhat more believable story that was sent as a chain letter in earnest - and yes, there is a punchline: several of them, actually, throughout the story.

... I only now understood you're British (or possibly Australian? some of the slang is similar). I usually pick it up. 8O

Ok? This is like the opposite of a joke. It's along the lines of "Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side". The closest I can find to a punchline is that part about him wanting to shoot himself while he himself petitioned against guns.

Other than that, I don't know what it's getting at. It would make sense if it was simply parodying conservative stereotypes, but it just kinda ended with the professor getting fired and dying of AIDS when you'd expect the joke to be on the SEAL :?

It's sort of hard to explain why a joke like this is funny, if you don't immediately see it.

Think of it this way: the joke isn't really on the professor. The joke is on the sort of person who would write this story. The punchline is that some rightwingers might actually find themselves nodding along with this story, agreeing with every word. Every single part of the story is perfectly tuned to rightwing talking points and stereotypes of the "subversive leftie professor", to the point where nobody except a rabid rightwinger could actually believe that the story is true.
