De-evolution in the US.

http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/utes/53570 ... n.html.csp

Quote:
(Al Hartmann | The Salt Lake Tribune) Rep. Bill Wright, R-Holden, argues for his HB363 to permit schools to drop sex education altogether. It also would ban instruction in the use of contraception. Forty-five Republicans voted for the bill while 11 GOP members joined all 17 Democrats in opposing it.

*Sigh*

People wonder why I consider theocracy an inherently harmful form of governance. This is one of many modern examples why.

Triplicate is nice word.

I really don't understand where this contraceptive stuff is coming from. The theocrats are going off the deep end.

I can't believe people would actually wonder about that.

One more step towards the USA becoming a backwater country! If that's what they want then fine, but they'd better not drag Canada down with them.

Wow... It's reasons like this that I find it scary the USA is the most powerful country in the world.

Outside of some of the more extreme Muslims countries where is there theocracy? Certainly not in the U.S. Fortunately the First Amendment is alive and well.

I think 9/11 and the radicalization of Islam have caused American Christians to become more vocal and radical in response. That's the real origin of all this nonsense about opposing sex education and birth control.

Personally, my approach is to tell my kid whatever he wants to know whenever he asks, but in the simplest and most age-appropriate way possible. I don't want sex to be some dirty secret.

People can say all they want about Christians, but the Muslims are the real bigots.
