This old timey former candidate that once touted how he liked small government is asking for further surveillance of the internet for no good reason.

The Republican Party is not the party of low taxes. It's that party of tax cuts for the rich and tax hikes for the working class. It's only a matter of time before the Republicans start advocating an explicit, formal regressive tax code to "incentivize the poor to become rich".

What a shock. I never would've imagined this coming from the same guy who helped spearhead the harsh detainee provisions rider of S. 1867.

I know I've read and heard about that horses**t about how we "lucky ducky's" shouldn't be allowed to get out of paying income tax, but it makes my blood boil, even now. And to think, the two championing this are Bachmann and Perry - to two least intelligent - or sane - former presidential candidates.
That she cretin, Bachmann, had said those who aren't so blessed with material wealth should at least pay a dollar. Well, I sincerely doubt it would stay at just a dollar for long.
And before anyone jumps on me out of concern for the poor, poor rich, I'll end with the reminder that the rich can afford to be taxed, but most of us would be financially devastated.
