I hate the idea, having to pay via electronic transfer just makes you extremely easy to track.

You would prefer simple barter? We would have to live in a society where the most advanced technology would be making smoked fish.

That is not what I said...and if I feel like discussing once again the sort of society I would enjoy, I will either start a thread for it or post about it in a relevent thread.

Don't bother. You just want other people to give you what your little old heart desires.

That's quite an assumption, and you know what they say about assumptions, now if you're going to try and start something with me you can piss off because I am here to talk about the topic at hand not the kind of person you want to assume I am.

Which would mean a system where the bright, wily and gifted can and will exploit the vulnerable, the needy, the weak, the sick and the stupid (i.e. many people with AS) completely mercilessly.

Quite happy to live in a moneyless society. Debit cards are the norm. People even use them for coffee.
I like the idea of Starbucks card. It can be used without a pin number.

Debit Cards are still money instruments. They use computerized data instead of paper or gold. It is a way of limiting what people can buy according to what they can earn.

Not nearly as much as it would under a system of pure barter.

Under a system of pure barter there would not be more than ten million humans that could survive world wide.

Why do you suppose money was invented about 10,000 years ago?
