Looking at wrongplanet and all of the arguing, debating and fighting that goes on I have come to a conclusion. An Asperger dominated world more than likely would be more or less similar to the NT world with all of the wars, fighting, diviseness, etc, nations, kingdoms, etc. The differences of the two worlds would be minor, imho if we look at wrongplanet as a microcosm.

We are individuals with different opinions just like NTs. What would an Aspie dominated world look like? I say, similar to this one.

True. People are alike all over.

Environment is the major difference.

And truly many folks live in a human zoo of their own making, per cultural influence.

I for one, choose different for truly alike. ;)

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if NT's would be the ones thought to have a disorder and I wouldn't be surprised if many of them would have extreme difficulty finding jobs and having trouble getting an education... and given less medical priority.

Well, there'll be at least some differences. For example, a world that caters to us instead of NT's. This reminds me of the description of the island Aspergia, that used to be on the Aspergian Island website. That was once one of the only online communities of aspies on the internet.

I think we would be more in tune with nature. We are more sensitive to and aware of our environment.

I'm not. I'm unobservant and extremely introspective.

I'm not sure, I think thats just wrong planet. WP is hardly the be all and end all of the online autistic community. I usually see much less rancour on other autistic forums.

Although if wars were fought between autistics, I'd like to think the weapons would be much cooler.

There's no set personality traits to be given with anyone diagnosed asperger's, we're all unique in that regard and we're actually incredibly diverse. It's a common misconception that 2 people with asperger's are just going to hit it off and become best friends based on a lifetime of mutual social awkwardness..

I once started a similar thread to this one on here - El Linkio

We'd probably still be living a primitive existence because of our decreased ability to work co-operatively.

The industrial evolution would never happen because it would require too many loud noises.

NTs would have an evolutionary advantage, would eventually outnumber us and life would go on as in the real world.

We're not incapable of working together, and would likely do so as it is the logical thing to do.

If autistics were the mainstream, we would likely not have as much trouble as we do now either, as many of our social faux pas are the result of trying to conform to the social behaviours of neurotypicals.

We're not devoid of social behaviour, our understanding and outlook of it is different. In fact, in an autistic dominated society it is likely that neurotypicals would be socially handicapped as they would have to try and conform to our social behaviours, and nt's inherently have trouble understanding and empathising with autistics :P

But not incapable does not mean likely.

If one sees JUST the conflicts around here, without even flesh and blood CONTACT.

IF THEY had guns they might kill each other. ;)
And to be clear I do not literally mean that. It is only metaphor, so 'don't shoot'. ;)

NO thanks, I'LL STICK with online interaction, when it comes to that potential. ;)

And for anyone who has spent any LENGTH OF Time here it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out
that there is NO WE IN THE SPELLING OF AUTISM.

It's all about CATS mostly, and they usually do NOT GET along in real life unless raised together as kittens.

You have an optimistic outlook on life, and that is good but to see the dark as well, is both the light and dark of truth. :)

And this ain't no candy store. ;)

And from my experience here, for the most, the most illogical people I have come across anywhere are truly here.

The most emotional controlled folks are also truly here, right on this internet site; however, they will still tell you they are logical, overall, in an emotion controlled way.

Truly that is PLAIN TO SEE, at least, for some of us, who visit here.

We're not incapable of working together, but we're less good at it, on average. We're still humans and still do things based primarily on emotion, not logic.

Our social faux pas may sometimes be the result of trying to abide by arbitrary NT rules, but I don't think that is usually the case, unless you define all of socialisation as an arbitrary NT rule. I know autistic people who just won't continue a conversation, even about their special interest, or who are incapable of saying something directly, or who routinely say things that offend me. No, we're not devoid of social behaviour, we're just very bad at it.
