Democrats gain seats.

I prefer for the parties to be as balanced as possible, because that way they do less damage.

McJeff is right, and the Republicans needs to be slapped behind their ears about the budget deficit and Iraq.

I wanted Bush to win the last election because I wanted him around to face the music over Iraq.

Now he is facing it and I think any American would have to insane to vote Republican

For once, I agree with McJeff. Power corrupts.

As there is no third party options, I have chosen the third choice.

Hey, you asked who I would prefer to win. Not who is likely to win. ;)

Tha's the problem with America. No third party to throw your vote away on. Here in Canada we have the New Democrats.

Yeah, I sort of also want the dems to win. The repubs have done a horrible job so far, I just hope that the divided government effectively causes us to reach a balance to decrease the size of government.

That's what I'm saying.

There's no chance in hell of any non-third party person doing anything like trying to kill Emminent Domain, and after Perot humiliated them in '92, the Dems and Repubs are going to keep a stranglehold on the debate, and thus, control of the political system. That way, the sheeple (I hate that term, I really do, but it fits this once) won't have '3rd party' enter their minds.

The conservatives on the court actually voted against emminent domain.

That was in the court. It was a 5-4 decision, and one of the conservative judges nearly lost his temper as I recall, and said on the record that he considered his colleagues criminal.

I'm talking about congress mainly. Good luck getting legislation introduced to ban it.

Or maybe I'm being too cynical. Pennsylvania did in fact ban that kind of emminent domain. And Pennsylvania is middle of the road leaning just barely left, which is actually what I am... tolerante but not at the expense of common sense. Maybe I'll move there.

Democrats agree with most of Republican policies around 85%. The Democrats are more conservative/rightwing the Labour party. So in reality George Bush should love the current leader of the Democrats more then he love Tony Blair. The biggest reason why the Dems and Republican cannot stand each other is because they are in competition with each other, not because they are that different.

The same could be said for religion, where many conservative Christian often attack Muslims belief where Conservative Christian and Islam share many values. Especially compared to your Agnostic/Atheist Brit.

I no longer believe America has a true democracy.I dont like either party but I distrust the Republicans more.I dont vote for someone, I vote against someone I think is worse.I basically think we should stop trying to "export democracy" until we can figure out how to have one here.

Republicans.

If we had a democrat leader, I'm a little worried we'd be up for being the target of every bully on earth.

"we" are already at the mercy of bullies....Bush,Channey,Rumsfield,Rice.I have never seen a group of people who so personify the image of the "high school" bully mentality.I never imagined a day when Ronald Reagon or the "original Bush" would start looking good to me.The fasicist currently in charge of our country have spent the past 6 years trying to "scare" Americans into submission while "creating terrorists" with their own policies....You should be afraid of the bully in your own house before you worry about the bullies in the rest of the world.Irony is if we get attacked after the Democrats get elected they will get the blame instead of the past 6 years of mismanagement by the Rebublicans. And the people in this country are likely to buy Carl Roves latest "spin"....I want to move.

And I want you to move too. You claim that the current administration is 'a bunch of bullies' and you can't spell Karl Rove's name right.

How can anyone be as stupid as you are? You claim that our policies created the terrorists... what of these policies existed before 9/11? The one where we stop the Palestinians from trying to commit genocide on the Israelis by supporting Israel's military?

It came straight from Bin Laden's mouth that the only way attacks on America will cease is if we all convert to Islam and adapt Sharia law, and you claim that there's no threat except for the ones the administration invented to "scare americans into submission"?

God damn.
