This proves her disloyalty to America, and that she is, in fact, a closeted European-style Socialist!

She probably even feasts on Swiss cheese and Swiss chocolates for breakfast.

I'm sure the SVP would be happy to have her as a member.

To be fair, her husband is the one that was entitled to Swiss citizenship and she got it by extension. But yea, good riddance although I suppose she may have the last laugh.

Distinguish disloyalty which involves treasonable acts from preference. No doubt she has her own reasons for preferring Switzerland to the U.S. For example fewer black folks. That might be a reason. Or fewer Jews. That might be another reason. It also may be the case the Switzerland is not as tilted to the left as is the U.S. None of that involves disloyalty.

My reaction is Good Riddance. She is bat-sh*t crazy.

EDIT: It just occurred to me. She has not abandoned the U.S. or given up her U.S. citizenship. She has taken advantage of a Swiss law that extends -dual citizenship- to her because her husband is Swiss.

Ruveyn's words put fear into her for looking like a racist anti-Semite

Michele Bachmann to withdraw her Swiss citizenship during her bid for re-election

Quote:
Rep. Michele Bachmann, a Minnesota Republican and former presidential candidate, announced Thursday that she was withdrawing her dual Swiss citizenship, which Politico first disclosed earlier this week.

Note that she had Swiss citizenship since 1978.

Don't tell me she still plans on running?

As a German American, and knowing that her closet case, homophobic husband's name is Bachmann, I found myself thinking: Please don't be German, please don't be German.

Then, when I recently discovered he's Swiss, I thought, YES!

Perhaps Romney will appoint her ambassador to Italy since she can see Italy from her Swiss porch.

The online article I read said "this would qualify her to run for office in Switzerland" (her dual citizenship that is.. which she apparently renounced since), but that seems doubtful to me because surely Switzerland must have similar rules to ours about disallowing the foriegn born to run for office. But if that were true -that she wouldve been qualified to run for office there- and she hadnt renounced her swiss citizenship then she mightve succeeded in what she failed to achieve here- and ended up the elected empress of the European Union. She couldve been Europe's salvation from Shariah Law! She would be just the person to lead the European Union in a military police action to rescue the Holy Land from the Muslims!

Onward! To the Eleventh Centurey!

Oh well.
