Yes, yes, Faux News, I know.

But I would like to know, does anyone here agree with the ideology of "Harrison Schultz", the man arguing with Hannity in this video?

Free education, free healthcare, free dental care, free childcare, free transportation, free houses, etc.?

Sean Hannity is believably disingenuous

The OWS guy should not have bit on Hannity's line of questioning about his personal life. Hannity had no intention of listening to what the guy had to say, he is an entertainer, there to entertain his white trash flock

Hannity is aiming to please a certain kind of audience. Look at the Youtube comments for example. Nobody there is pointing out how no real discussion of the subject (Occupy Wall Street) took place, they are having a circle jerk over how Hannity "pwned him!". I do not care all that much about Occupy myself, but I think Hannity and his network are beyond pathetic

That is right-wing political thinking who combine their faith with their political views and. A lot of members at my church fear mixing the two because they will use laws to justify their politcal views Hanniy is a puttet for the GOP and Religious right. Both groups I dislike I want my faith out of goverment because when religion and poltics mix bad things happen.

I don't think that was Schultz' position. Hannity pushed him into the freeloader corner and put those words into his mouth without giving him the opportunity to explain his political point of view.

My personal opinion:

- Free education: Yes, definitely. But "free" is a misleading word, imho; let's call it public / universal / socialized education. As with all public services, every taxpayer will pay for it according to their income.

- Free health / dental care: Yes. But again, I'd rather call it public or universal health care. It's not free, except for the few who are unable to work or can't find employment because their jobs have been exported to India or China by greedy corporations.

- Free child care: No. I think a better solution would be affordable (subsidized) day care centers and kindergardens, as well as child benefits instead of tax breaks for married couples. Children are vital for a sustainable society and economy, and raising children is a very important job. It needs to be compensated in some way. Tax deduction for married couples is the wrong way to go about this, since not all couples have children.

- Free transportation: No. But a First World country needs a well developed public transportation system with affordable pricing that gets people anywhere they want to go without a car, as well as a traffic infrastructure that includes bike lanes and off-road cycling / walking trails. Families shouldn't have to depend on two cars, no matter where they live. Also, everybody should have stores or markets that sell fresh produce within an acceptable distance from their home. So-called food deserts shouldn't exist in a developed country.

- Free houses: Again, no. Government policies are needed to ensure sufficient and affordable housing that meets certain standards, imho, but housing doesn't have to be free. Welfare recipients should be paid enough to afford cheap apartments.

I'm not defending Hannity, but what do you think that guy had to say?

Proves that right-wingers are nothing more than adult bullies looking for people who are easy to troll. Absolutely nothing was discussed in that interaction.

You are saying he was tricked into claiming that his political ideology is something it is not?

I agree here. It's not about making everyone equal or enabling "free-loaders". It's about creating a safety net and a level playing field.

Quoted for truth. That was indeed bullying. It all came down to "get a job at McDonald's, you dirty hippie". As if it was that easy in the current state of the U.S. economy.

And even if it was an option: If business intelligence analysts like Schultz, engineers and other qualified people are flipping burgers because their jobs have been exported to developing countries, something is severely wrong. A country without a middle class, whose only remaining domestic product is burgers and fries, is doomed to become a banana republic.

And right-wingers expect left wingers to come to a fight with their hands tied behind their back. Sorry, no can do. You dish it, you take it. If you don't identify with the attitude of people like Sean Hannity, you don't have to identify with the term "right-winger". Taking offense is on you.

Wish America had a Parliament the way the UK does.
