If the thread was locked there was probably a reason for it. Upsetting the moderators by creating a new one isn't a good idea. Believe me, I've been burnt on that myself on other forums.

I wasn't looking to upset moderators, I was looking to increase accountability and and further the understanding of the membership as to what is acceptable and what is not.

This is a discussion about a thread that was locked, hence the quotation marks.

I am all for this as well. A reason for the locking should be posted at the end of the topic.

I've noticed lately Alex gives a reason for locking, so I bet it was not him.

Can the moderator who locked it please explain, so we can avoid upsetting you in the future?

Oh, I understand that you create a thread if you don't know who locked it.
When you know who locks a thread(usually they give a reason before locking) PM'ing is a good alternative to flooding the boards.

Whenever a thread is locked, there have been inappropriate behaviour to cause this. Often, its self-explanatory why it happens.
However, there are confusing moderators on every forum and I agree that giving a reason or at least, a warning before locking a thread is a good idea.

You consider this "flooding the boards?"
