Funny, or offensive?

This is a ghetto version of the song "Belle" from Beauty and the Beast. I personally found it funny, but others found it to be offensive because of its stereotyping of black people. Isn't the video only stereotyping ghetto people, and not necessarily black people? Anyway, what do you think?

I thought it was cute.

It's black people/black culture. It strikes me as light-hearted, so I don't think it is offensive. I think there is a danger of racism in it, but I don't think it's inherently worse than http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.com/ which is white culture and good-natured as well. I mean, these issues are complicated but... this video alone probably doesn't cut it. We don't know whether it is black culture or black people in the video. I mean..... I'd put it in a gray area.

As almost the entire cast was black, I hardly think anything racist was really intended. Rather, stereotypes were made fun of.

I found it hilarious I think its more so of the steriotyping of the bad ghetto neighborhoods not just one ethnic group. It reminds me of Oakland or Compton. :lol:
