Umm..... it is a branch of philosophy dealing with knowledge and how one can know things. One does not believe in it so much as one believes a certain belief in epistemology as epistemology is a study. Ultimately, I tend towards empiricism and rationalism for deciding what is true, and my large assertions are that reality is real and that logic is a valid way to look at reality.

No.... epistemology is not an illogical but convincing argument.

e-pis-te-mol-o-gy (i-pist-mol-je)n. The branch of philosophy that studies the nature of knowledge, its presuppositions and foundations, and its extent and validity.
