That documentary is a brilliant propaganda piece. For one thing, it features a large number of lower-class, uneducated White proletarians--exactly the kind of people who listen to Fox News and Rush Limbaugh (and proudly consider themselves "informed"), and who typically show up for Teabag Rallies. These are precisely the sort of people who automatically vote Republican no matter what.
On top of that, you have a Vietnam War veteran who lost his job No-one running for president would ever want to be perceived as having done the least bit of harm to a Vietnam War veteran. Especially when the candidate evaded military service himself during those years.
And, on top of that: a woman whom Mitt Romney fired when she was 8-months pregnant. You might just as well come out and say that Mitt Romney is a baby-killer.

The fact that this guy made this brutal yet completely insincere attack piece painting Romney as nothing short of Satan incarnate, only to turn around and support him after it's clear that the GOP has failed to come up with a better candidate to beat Obama, shows that the corporate funded right are true masters of cold sociopathic emotional manipulation.
It's so ironic that the charge of using your voting base as pawns to get elected gets levied at Democrats so often. There's constant insinuations from the right wing media that all progressive politicians despise working class Americans and cynically promise "handouts" in return for votes. It's a very clever line of attack as working class middle-Americans take a lot of pride in their work ethic and supposed self-sufficiency, so the idea of a politician cynically promising "government handouts" in return for votes is seen as deeply condescending to respectable working class middle-Americans. It seems like the corporate funded right-wing media came up with this brilliant debasement scheme out of projection, as it appears they actually do despise working class people. Why else would this person use real people's suffering in a calculated political ploy to try and eliminate a candidate he felt had too much baggage to defeat Obama?
