Or do you think life is meaningless, and we are just insignificant beings taking birth and dying? Do you invent a meaning just to keep going?

life has meaning of some sort but I am excluded to finding out by others and made to feel insignificant in my life by others-I am not to know what its all about.

Objectively, life is without meaning. My life has meaning to me, though.

I think every life has meaning, not just human life. But we're the only ones who question its meaning. My cats don't seem to question why they're alive, they simply enjoy it as much as they can. I think the reason I love Nature is partially that - nothing in Nature questions why it's here - except us.

I believe and hope that every life has meaning, but I'm not always sure what that meaning is.

If life does have some sort of "meaning", I don't think that we have access to it, at least not while we're alive.

I don't believe in an afterlife, but I have always had a strange suspicion that "it will all make sense in the end". The end of what? I don't know. The end of the universe, maybe.

I suppose at the very least, just being here means we are all links in a chain of events. Our actions have consequences and affect other people.

At the minimum that could be a meaning to one's life. How you interact with others, what you do in your life. Even your struggles and triumphs no matter how big or small could be meaningful.

We are insignificant beings just living and dying.

Doesn't mean it is meaningless.

Do I think life has meaning? I think it has whatever meaning someone attaches to it - so it can "mean" something to any one individual (or a group if they share the meaning). I do not think it has any meaning to creatures or things that do not have a conscious mind.

Do I think we are just insignificant beings? We are insignificant to anyone and anything that doesn't see any significance in us. As soon as someone or something attaches significance to us, we are significant - to them.

Do I invent a meaning just to keep going? No, I just enjoy living.

I like the existentialist answer.

There is no meaning to life, but we are stuck here nonetheless. So let's make something out of it.

There is no UNIVERSAL meaning of life, you have to CREATE your own.

Life, the generalized term to describe organisms of a self sustaining, and constantly adapting entity, is a limitless and boundless thing. As such I dont believe there is any significant meaning. By giving life in that aspect meaning, is to limit , and even to an extent contain something that isnt meant to be so.

Now, does life have Purpose? That may be a different question that a person can ask. And purpose isnt so containing or limiting as an actual definition (like meaning might attribute).

I would say that yes, Life does have purpose.

But thats something thats self determined, and not typically a constant.
