"Our values are based on Humanism rather than a fictional holy book"

This quote is a bit sounding like "look, we're better then 'classic' religions."

The Bible/other books didnt write those words in them, they were spoken and thought by humans written down in story. All religions have something, Hindu, Buddhism, Catholicism, they all have values and they were all derived from the same thing: Meditation (which is rarely practiced by any religion these days - ironic?). Where do you think "Humanism" came from? Most likely the same thing everything else came out of - Meditation practices.

I was never a religious person. I believed god was fake or not real. Long story short, a bunch of s**t happened and I went on a personal quest. When I came out of it I found out I was aspie and very spiritual, something I never felt before (those were just a few things but some of the biggest).

This 'religion' is almost something out of Logic found in Philosophy which I consider to be a "belief" since it acknowledges everything. Afterall, none of us can prove anything.

I think if you want to believe in something, believe in yourself, at least first. Sounds corny but its absolutely true. Then society would look a bit more impressive then it does now

With every religion or system of beliefs you're always going to have some form of exclusion and/or elitism.

Too right.

I prefer to accept aspects of all religions as they're all attempting to explain the same truths/errors of mankind.

Yeah, I am similar. I take the teachings I find positive and relevant to my life from the myriad of religions and tailor them to suit me. I see religion as a tool for personal refinement and improvement - the person who needs of threats of hell or punishment to reinforce good behaviour isn't much of a good person in any case. I try to be good for goods sake, not out of fear.
