Would it have been much different if Romney won?

Just a thought. As an outsider while their means to reaching an end are different their objectives seem very similar to me (Obama and Romney).
The things that they seem to differ on are mostly social issues such as gay rights, the laws regarding unborn children and immigrants. And it seems in some cases they might even be slightly closer in some of those fields than I'd previously thought.

Rather than get lost on how wrong that might be to some of you though, I guess the main question is "how would the Romney administration be much different?" they both seem to pander to the same lobbyists and have the same financiers, and objectives though not the same means to meet the objectives in entirety.

What in your mind would happen if the vote went the other way over the next 4 years as opposed to what will happen now?

Not much different at all. Their 'differences' are more lip service than policies they'll actually pursue.

If Romney had won he would have tried to bust our bank by funding The ForEver War. That will lead to the economic ruin of the U.S. as much as any crack brain welfare state scheme that Obama and his Ultra Lib buddies could cook up.

We are suffering from a serious shortage of intelligence in our political situation.

If Romney won, he would send the US back into the Dark Ages once sworn into office.

Energy reform and Education reform will take a backseat to more Entitlement, more Keynesian stimulus, and Immigration reform. I agree with Entitlement reform, its something Obama and Romney have to deal with anyways. But I do think Energy and Education policy are long overdue, and are long overdue.
