I think that it along with the rest of the country has alot of room for improvement but I do not fear it.

Well I think the tea party fears that people think that we in 2012 will be the exception to history, that we are somehow morally evolved enough to never repeat the mistakes of the past and immune from history. Our fears is what keeps government in check, and balances out their eager desire to act in the name of pragmatism.

Aw, the tea party is just scared of everything, whether it's the "browning" of America as Whites become less of a majority, or that gays are accepted as normal human beings and not freaks, or that America isn't an idyllic rural wonderland that it never was, but is now urban and suburban, etc. In other words, the tea baggers are out of step and out of touch with the rest of the country that they consider to be deviant.

Power Corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

The more power a government gets the worse it becomes relative to individual rights.

There has never been a good government nor will there ever be one. The best one can aim at is a government that is less worse than absolute tyranny or a total lack of government.

The check of fear is not working all that well. People are throwing away their liberty with both hands on the feeble promise of security that our government extends. We are governed by fools, base knaves, and people who are bankrupt both morally and intellectually. Our government will grow worse with the passage of time, not better.
