It looks like a lot of people are starting to come around to the idea of taking the partnership business out of the state's hands. I couldn't agree more, if marriage has been a religiously coined term then it needs to be kept on that side of the court for the religious to define and hold as their own.

The only issue that comes up as a potential issue is child custody and support. I'm not sure what kind of legal caveats come up with non-binding partnerships aside from, say, biological heredity and/or adoption contracts.

Of course an angelic society where there is no marriage would have guaranteed jobs. It would be like one big family.

As an Anarchist I believe in the principle of non violence or force. As the currently law stands, if two men marry they will be either fined or kidnapped and lock up. Perhaps it can be proven by some high authority that gay marriage is non beneficial to sociality but it would be worse to enforced a law supported by violence that prohibits it.
