Dawkins is a dick. He's correct about a lot of things, but still a dick.

That is not a cogent criticism. What specifically about Dawkins do you refer to?

Is it because he does not suffer religion quietly?

Incorrectly, I had presumed that given a platform, Higgs would criticise Ben Goldacre. This responsibility will now rest on the shoulders of another future Nobel prize winner.

I'm not sure Richard is really that personally mean to non-fundamentalists. I've seen him do polite debates on religious shows as long as the host is respectful. Hell he could have done worse when he was on the O'reilly Factor OMG that was insane.

Agnosticism OMG LOL LOL. Like I said in the past, you don't get to be agnostic towards specific myths. Maybe there is some entity out there who for some stupid reason avoids any possible test and does not give any proof of its existance, but that does not change that Chritisanity is a bunch of crap and that's fact. Any scientist who does not say that is being dishonest either to himself, or to the rest to avoid criticism. So yeah, Religious apologists are the worst scum, and Higg's a doofus.

It is specially stupid of him for saying that Dawkins is a foundamentalist. What an idiot, really.

Thanks for sharing. I like this:
Quote:
He said he was not religious, but added that "maybe that's just more a matter of my family background than that there's any fundamental difficulty about reconciling the two".
