The majority of people on both sides have a tendency to act like spoiled brats whenever the other side tries to speak.

Really, now both sides have been shown to be willing to hold the country hostage and send things downhill, because that option is SOOOO much better than trying to listen to reason.

Both sides live on a "us vs them" mentality. Both sides tend to speak of "them" as being less than human.

The state of this county has been handed to two angry mobs who bicker endlessly, just because they can.

I guess there really is little difference between the mentality of a street gang member and the mentality of the average American in this respect.

The actual differences between the two parties are superficial at best

there hasnt been an american politician worth a damn since reagan.the republican party is but a shell of its former self.im not sure what the democrats are doing,maybe imitating socialism while pretending not to be it

there's a conservative agenda, a progressive agenda, and some would argue there's even a third and somewhat more hidden agenda dying the leadership of both to a covert plan for the world.

One thing remains clear - the extent to which we rely on them for anything but the basics is problematic but.....ah......I risk categorizing and agendifying myself as a conservative to say such a thing.

They have one thing in common, they are both a group of rich a-holes that are only in public office to make money. They don't care about the people, but they control the elections, so voting them out is easier said than done.

Ronald Reagan helped to destroy the Republican Party. Running up ultra large deficits began with the Reagan Administration. He was delivery 1.75 worth of government for ever 1.25 collected in taxes and imposts. Thus began the cycle of super-deficit which holds even to this day.
