Have you all heard the shocking news!

There going to start exposing American grade school kids to an Arab institution!

That being: Algebra!

They going start teaching innocent american children algebra!
Algebra ostensibly is kinda like arithmatic on steroids- well its hard to explain- but...

Well the point is that algebra is an arab invention- so its obviously a form of Islamist and jihadist brainwashing.

Theyre taking over!

The sky is falling!

And its all the fault of the cultural pluralist- theyre the ones who have allowed algebra under the door of america!

So Americans are moving on from learning the A, B, C to the A = B + C therefore C = A - B :P

It won't end there... they'll be teaching kids logarithms next... don't even talk about complex numbers!

I miserably failed algebra, even with a tutor. The formulas won't stay put in my head, they float off. When it comes to math I am stupid,I count on my fingers. It's embarrassing.
Just looking at TallyMan's algebra equation made me depressed.

I'm confused. What is this a parody of exactly?

I didn't know Americans had a problem with every single thing that may have been originated by the Arabs of times long past.

That's why they don't mind the oil from those Arab countries.

I used to love algebra. Of all the mathematics I learned algebra has proved the most useful and I use it often when designing software. Trigonometry and geometry come in useful occasionally too when doing DIY work... e.g. when calculating materials needed for a sloping roof of a particular angle slope. Also useful when displaying a clock face on a computer and needing to calculate the screen coordinates of the ends of the lines corresponding to the moving fingers. Basic maths crops up all over.

Ok, I thought the Jazeera one was also a parody of something I thought I was missing. Nevermind. I get it now.

[joke]

At New York's Kennedy Airport today, an individual, later discovered to be a public school teacher, was arrested trying to board a flight while in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a set square, and a calculator. Attorney General John Ashcroft believes the man is a member of the notorious al-gebra movement. He is being charged with carrying weapons of math instruction.

Al-gebra is a very fearsome cult, indeed. They desire average solutions by means and extremes, and sometimes go off on a tangent in a search of absolute value. They consist of quite shadowy figures, with names like "x" and "y", and, although they are frequently referred to as "unknowns", we know they really belong to a common denominator and are part of the axis of medieval with coordinates in every country. As the great Greek philanderer Isosceles used to say, there are 3 sides to every angle, and if God had wanted us to have better weapons of math instruction, he would have given us more fingers and toes.

Therefore, I'm extremely grateful that our government has given us a sine that it is intent on protracting us from these math-dogs who are so willing to disintegrate us with calculus disregard. These statistic bastards love to inflict plane on every sphere of influence. Under the circumferences, it's time we differentiated their root, made our point, and drew the line.

Remember, these weapons of math instruction have the potential to decimal everything in their math on a scale never before seen unless we become exponents of a Higher Power and begin to factor-in random facts of vertex. As our Great Leader would say, "Read my ellipse." Here is one principle he is uncertainty of---though they continue to multiply, their days are numbered and the hypotenuse will tighten around their necks.

There's one particular Arab discovery that I have all the time on Allah's Earth for. Can anyone guess what it is?
