Clarification on my position concerning abortion

I think this warrants its own thread because the other thread has gone a bit too deep with redundant arguments and nitpicking that my whole overall point in that thread went lost, so I'm going to be clear on what I actually believe when it comes to the right to abort.

Some of you will be very surprised to hear this, but I am pro-choice. However, it's for a different reason (or rather lack of one). I don't agree with abortion in the milder cases, but I could care less legally speaking if women make the decision to abort in any case. That is between the woman and her concerned loved one(s) and the baby in her womb. As long as my loved ones and I are not affected negatively by whatever morals you choose to espouse, then by all means do whatever right and wrong you wish to do.

But while I may be a pro-choice in that sense, that does not mean I can't see good points from both sides. And in fact, I see both good and bad points from both pro-life side and pro-choice side. Hell, many from both sides often make the same exact mistake of imposing absolutes when it comes to rights and morals and such. The fact is, when it comes to rights and values and such, nothing is really absolute. This is all a matter of subjectivity and opinion. And to all pro-choicers who think otherwise, your argument in terms of credibility is really no different from the argument often used by pro-lifers (the religious, especially). And if that makes you even prouder, then so be it. But I cannot take your argument seriously then.

There, I said it. Feel free to dissect and nitpick at this post as well.

Your view makes me think of 3rd Party candidate Gary Johnson who I voted for. He staked out a middle ground allowing abortion up until "viability of the fetus" and said it was a women's issue.

He might seem cold and "Utilitarian" that way to some, but if this stance prevents the grisly late term abortions, even if some early term or morning-after abortion still occur, than that is a bargain I can accept.

In fact if a dangerous tubal Ectopic pregnancy occurs, there should be no legal obstacles and it seems like an obvious candidate for early term abortion. (Seems obvious, but I heard a story about a woman in Ireland dying under such conditions because of convoluted laws)
