(speaking primarily to americans with this one, but your country isn't far behind, either.)
have you ever felt that you just simply cannot get ahead? Does it just feel like things used to be so much better? Does it feel like a dollar just doesn't stretch quite like it used to? The truth is, you can't get ahead. Things used to be better. And your dollar? it's all downhill from here.

There is no economic recovery. There never was. And there never will be. Plan accordingly.

Watch as the Indians rise. I can't say I'll mind that too much. We have better links with them than with the Chinese.

I know very little about the economic status of either India or China, but I can assure you that when this collapse hits, it will affect everybody worldwide. Some will certainly do better than others, but nobody will escape this

The really sad thing is, we have Washington bringing us to our knees. We might essentially be bound, gagged, and kidnapped for the ride.

essentially, that is quite an apt description. There really is nothing you can do except prepare for the eventual collapse as best you can. Do what you can with the time you have left.

Quite possibly the time we all have left. I don't think this is just about us in the US.

Oh ye of little faith!

The thing that made America great - and will always make America great is the strength of its people. The abilities of its people, the brilliance of its people.
It disheartens me to see your great nation lost and wandering even as it stands on the greatest achievements in my lifetime.

If I was asked if there was one thing that could keep America down, I would laugh. because nothing outside outside that great nation will ever assail it.
When you look at what you have, and what it came from, you would know it will right itself.
When you love somebody, you don't turn your back on them just because they have lost their way.
When you love your country, you don't decry it just because it hit a hiccup n the road.
I know its one hell of a hiccup, but do you get my point?

Well, that would make sense if I were decrying the American people or the founding principles - I'm not. It seems like our government has been overriden by things that started early in the 20th century in terms of law and as it builds an increasingly bigger head of steam the debt now can grow in trillions just on interest. Its a bit like the same people wrecking Europe are wrecking us, needed to consolidate power at the top beforehand, cut away any intermediary powers between the government and the people that could hold any check (17th Amendment was huge on this), and this is where it was intended to go. It looks like the whole developed world is folding up financially not just us which DOESN'T put us in a better place, rather it really starts looking like we're being guided along the path to NWO and that its just gaining a faster and faster pace. Add to that there's no one you can elect it seems that won't in effect further the situation and any grassroots groups that want to take things back are painted by the media as basket-case populists.

That's ultimately where I'm going, ie. it really seems like we're on a schedule. The complicity of human stupidity is just going well beyond what human stupidity seems capable of on its own.

Adam Smith thought a nation could only really exist for 200 years which America is overdue.

Oman, Poland, Switzerland, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Andorra etc etc must be well overdue, then.

India is a place where thousands and thousands of people kill themselves because of the economy. It's not well run at all.

Compulsory voting would put the brakes on extremist leaders like George W Bush ever getting elected again.
I cant know the depth of the issues you personally face, I only know that they are real and worrying.
The established media has lost control of public opinion. Barak Obama would never have been elected otherwise.

No it wouldn't. It would lead to people mass spoiling their ballot or voting for anyone. I can imagine a lot of uneducated people would give their vote to the BNP here if made to vote.

That's the worst idea possible - ie. the average IQ and knowledge of the issues drops substantially. Also I think you really mean leaders like GWB and Obama (you forgot one of the two). Whoever the media decides to darling will win the election in such a case where 60% of the people are voting on who's better looking, who's giving them more stuff, etc.. We already have enough of that so why make it drastically worse.
