Yep, you guessed it, there's been a split from the British Freedom Party (which ceased contesting elections about six months ago). Their leader left them a few months ago, too, and he's set up a new party, with a name so hilariously bad it deserves to be laughed at: "Liberty GB".

(If he supports everything that the EDL does, then how does that make it any different from the BFP?! Not very bright, this Weston fella. He's a former UKIP member, yet left the party.)

A Tory splinter group that is increasingly taking votes from across the political spectrum these days.

Well, the BFP has essentially ceased to exist as far as I can tell. I don't know whether the LGB is so much a 'splinter' or the BFP has more or less disbanded.

They're not Nazis and neither are the EDL (the official mission statement of the EDL is a surprisingly liberal document, taken on its own). Whatever they are, and you could say that they're heavily infected with the EDL (who are not people I'd have round for dinner), they're not Nazis. The EDL does have Nazis in it (and this is an open problem with the EDL that, due to the nature of their organisation, they cannot fix - and this damages them), but the organisation as a whole is not Nazi. I'd struggle with calling a lot of the present BNP Nazis as well - unpleasant racists most definitely, but not Nazis - though many of the historical people involved with the BNP certainly were Nazis.

I think unpleasant and dubious people is a better fit.

the BNP is unique in that it has a chequered record of holocaust denial and political violence. The only parties who share this aspect? You guessed it, openly nazi parties! On on face its smart suits and ties but once the tv cameras are off out comes the combats and knuckle dusters.

Their public facade is not nazi, their spearhead agenda is very different. Thankfully it seems they are receding into obscurity for good.
