I read on an article that China is building drones themselves now. They have stated that in the slim a future conflict between the US that they could engage and swarm US aircraft Carriers in the Yellow Sea. Should this be concerning to the American public? :?

Just about anything China does like that is grounds for at least taking note of.
Drones have already been invented, though, just like nuclear weapons and can not be de-invnented.
They will be in use until something better comes along.

There isn't a damn thing anyone can do about the military hardware of China.

China is a superpower. Deal with it. Move on.

And by deal with it you mean let people die?

I know. Yet this worries me that they are gearing up for an attack. Of course they have said they deny such actions, for now. There cyber hacking also frightens me. They could crack into our defenseive grid and disable our ability to protect us from drones and nukes as well.

Oh don't be so melodramatic.

China sees the west first and foremost as a customer for its manufactured goods and as a loan debitor.

War with the west is the last thing it wants.

In case of war, people will die whether we act or not.

I know China sees us as a customer, but what happens when we cannot pay for the tab? Also what if an incident was to occur? I am alright with China having a better economy then us, (even though I do not like how we consume so much from them.,) as well as having a defensive military. The problem is what if a conflict was to spiral out of control?

They will lend us more. As long as we keep buying their goods we are keeping their pot boiling.

Well they could attack anyone in theory, yet we are the ones that clash often with others. Now I am not saying places like India and Russia not might get into a border skirmish with China, but the past hacking fiasco going on, as well as the tension with the US, ROK, and the DPRK could ignite a conflagration if things do not go so well. Also technically Canada is allied with the US so that would bring in that country into the fray as well.

I am sure hope so. Of course we could end up like North Korea, they are bad for the tab as well.

China is tooling its defences not because it wants a war but because its erecting a sign saying "do not f**k with us".

The reason is it wants the status quo, it doesnt want change.

Of course they are. Monkey see, monkey do, they're following our lead.

It's funny, I was watching Marco Rubio's speech at CPAC and he was ranting about how we could sit back let China become a world leader when they don't respect habeas corpus, torture, imprison it's citizens, endorse abortion, use forced labor, etc. Sounds awfully familiar doesn't it?

Stop worrying about foreign enemies and start focusing on the domestic ones that run our criminal government.

True, but we could build up our deterrents by finding new technologies to use to counter our own equipment.

I see. Well we do have things in common in our government, yet I do not know about "forced labor"
