I am an NT gifted with the ability to learn, speak and translate "different" speak of an individual. I am also what some would call "religious" as my faith seems to be my own quirky native "tongue" and weekly church attendance is where I socialize with those who speak it. Now on the flip side I also have a reputation within the church of "bucking" the system of traditional church thought while keeping the integrity of the message and am often questioned for my "free and intellectual" line of thinking. It would be grand to develop a fellowship that combined both worlds. I know what "church" looks like from the inside but can anyone tell me what an Aspy friendly church would look like?

Well I for one would like a Church that teaches Grace over works, that Jesus died for our sins so in gratitude all we need to practice is faith and love.
Not like the Christian churches who still think we need to follow a set of rules to gain salvation, in the way the Jews had a set of rules, the Law, that made their worship a meaningless requirement of law, rather than a voluntary act of Love.

Now wither that's an Aspie trait or just a result of reading the Bible I know not?

Without works, faith is pointless (except for salvation).

If your God did not put you here to be a blessing for others - especially those in need - then why did He put you here at all?

So a god of apathy would be pointless? Although would a god of apathy care that he is pointless?

Would you be willing to describe further the idea of an Electric Monk?

That was a joke/reference to Douglas Adams. You have a machine or android type creation do all your penance and praying for you. Kind of a modern version of paying for indulgences.

No it isn't. I didn't get that reference either and I'm a diagnosed Aspie.

The Lutheran tradition teaches in regard to works - By faith alone, but faith is never alone.

Jews dont do what they do for salvation, they do what they do for redemtion, which requires daily observance of law. YOu probably consider how Jews worship as meaningless because you don't understand it. Which is cool, most people don't. Many Jews don't lol

Now Ruveyn, just because you can't understand the mind of the creator is no reason to go besmirching the faith of others.
