Some people think that there are still a few uncontacted peoples in the world. What should be done if they are found?

I think they should be left alone but there are probably some people out there who want civilization to be imposed on them.

Leave 'em alone. Well, unless they're in a very dire situation, or are being infringed upon by imperialists.

The diseases that we carry - but are immune to - might kill people in isolated communities. It wouldn't be the first time.

So, yeah. Leave them alone.

probably best to leave them alone if at all possible

if they're still isolated from the rest of the world then it is probably their choice

My inclination is to say "leave them alone".

However, what if there were members of the community regularly committing child abuse? Would that be acceptable?

We have enough of our own problems. We shouldn't regulate the world.

Seems highly impractical even though I'm reasonably sure things like that commonly exist. The rest of the world is nowhere near ending epidemics of child abuse, human trafficking, etc. that go on in its nations.

Star Trek had it right. Observe, but do not interfere. Not just for their sake, but also because we might learn something.

Leave them be, so they can repopulate the earth after we destroy ourselves.

I don't see why talking to them is a problem, or offering them new tools or even religions as long as it is done with an open hand and they can refuse, and as long as any attempt to relocate them has their consent. Immunology would be a major concern that would need to be addressed to approach them.

I say, Let them be. They haven't bothered us; why should we bother them.

Uncontacted except for the helicopter fly-overs that probably make them think their Gods are coming to kill them all.

Not many years ago, a tribe in Siberia had been discovered who had knowledge that they belonged to a greater entity called Russia, or knew nothing about the outside world, such as WWII, etc.

I'm for contacting them. I don't see why we should let their children die of diseases we cure in our own. Or why they should be trapped in superstitious ignorance we'd lament if it occurred in our society.

There is nothing noble about war, including inter-tribal war with poison arrows.

As for how best to contact them...
