But when you leave the nest, your eggs can be devoured.A snake is just a legless lizard.
Republican nest eggs are tastiest. And of course sometimes it does not work out and mom and pop show up early and then the snake becomes dinner. But that looks like a chicken egg to me.

I'm nitpicking here but snakes are not legless lizards. That space is reserved for actual legless lizards

These lizards are often distinguishable from snakes on the basis of one or more of the following characteristics: possessing eyelids, possessing external ear openings, lack of broad belly scales, and/or a very long tail (while snakes have a long body and short tail).

/\Snakes aren't the smartest critters. I wouldn't be surprised if they eat the eggs of other snakes or even their own.

^^^^Bald Eagles eat carrion and steal from other birds.
And trollcatman,I believe that snakes evolved from lizards, the monitor family.
But Raptor may believe in creationism.
And King snakes do eat copperheads, seen it.And Cobras eat other snakes.
Cobras are not by any means stupid.Scientists are now doing studies on reptile intelligence, many are proving to be smarter than some mammals, but you don't really want to get into my special interest here,or I'll drag out some IRCF journals with all sorts of cool stuff about reptiles by leading Herpetologists.

I'm getting the impression that Misslizard's special interest is herpetology.

 If I could do my life over, that would be the field I would choose. My dream vacation is to go to the Caymans, not for the beaches but to volunteer at the Blue iguana recovery program. They were saved from extinction,a triumph.Sadly a few years back a lowlife broke into the breeding facility and beat seven of the rarest reptiles on the planet to death. They know who did it,but don't have enough evidence to prove it.
Here is a painting of them.

Yes they do but it's still not a bird of prey. Neither is the one the gator is eating. I'm not seeing beaks intended for ripping flesh or talons suitable for scratching the eyes out of trolls. :P

I've noticed that weak threads tend to derail easily.

By the by, even with the taxes, Marlboro has an operating margin of 30%.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/america%e ... 25482.html

No need to feel the least bit sorry for either the pushers or users on account of the taxes.

(sorry to derail the nature discussion).
