“They come to us now to interfere and demand that we change study arrangements by adding more hours of secular studies and threaten us with altering the budgets,” Shteinman wrote.

The Frum community can be even more backwards than Christians. They take the Torah seriously and have all kinds of rationalisations for their religion.

They believe that Rosh Hashanah was Adam's birthday and that the Earth is literally 5773 years old to the date.

In some areas of Jerusalem - and in Beit Shemesh, I believe - some of the Orthodox make a real nuisance of themselves, harassing women and telling them to cover up, defacing posters featuring women, and so on. Scumbags.
