Apparently, reason led to the Holocaust.

Quote:
"You know the Age of Enlightenment and Reason gave way to moral relativism. And moral relativism is what led us all the way down the dark path to the Holocaust."

Fox News played its final card: erase reason!

They've got a point tbf, if everyone in Nazi Germany had stopped thinking for themselves then things would have been a lot better.

“Moral relativism” as in “people disagreeing with us and daring to say it”, I suppose.

Difference between that and not standing up for anything because it might offend someone else.

The reasoning behind the Shoah not only was fallacious, but it was based on false data.

Did the crazy woman in the video just say she had evidence for original sin? Probably hollow words, she didn't follow up on it. I have no idea why anyone would invite a crackpot like this.
I read the wiki article on Concerned Women for America and it's more or less a hate group. Here are their more crazy beliefs:

- Gay people should not be allowed to have sex in their own home. WTF?
- Against abortion even in case of rape. a**holes.
- Abstinence-only sex education. Because it works so well.
- They are against porn and "obscenity" and "indecency" on satellite and cable tv. Nobody is forcing them to watch it, so what are they whining about?
- Teaching Intelligent (haha) Design in schools. Perhaps they should go back to school themselves.

They also believe humans come from Adam, but since that is a common misconception I'll let that one slide.
Godwinning Reason Day in 2 minutes is the least of their problems.

You are using reason and that, as we know, leads to holocausts. But then again, by analysing what you've said and concluding that you're using reason,, I'm now using reason, so don't be surprised if we're responsible for a holocaust. ;)

I disagree. It wasn't reason that led to the holocaust, but blind, uninhibited hate. In fact, the Nazis were renowned for their anti-intellectualism, for their selling off of Germany's artistic legacy, and for driving off Germany's intellectuals and artists - that is, those who weren't sent to concentration camps. After the war, the allies were amazed how many Hitler Youth members couldn't even read or right, or do basic math - a testament to how the Nazis' war on intellectualism had come close to destroying what should have been Germany's true legacy.

It helps a lot to know what Thule was. Not only were they seeking out every occult relic and secret of Atlantis/Lemuria that they could get their hands on (or I should caveat - believe existed) but the killings they did were quite likely a front for blood-sacrifice.

To those who'd entertain the possibility that there's something real to the occult in terms of the effects of occultism, spirits, unseen intelligences, etc., it could well be that certain entities liked what Hitler was doing and chipped in full force. Some of those at Hitler's rallies who didn't trust him at all almost felt like they were getting drugged into a sort of rapture by something in the air and going right down the waterslide with everyone else - took a good amount of self-control on their part to put their foot down on themselves even.

It was the lack of reason that led to the Holocaust. It was the lack of scepticism and the blind faith in the "Führer" that led to the Holocaust. This nothing more than Reductio ad Hitlerum.

I do not think the Holocaust would have been possible without Censorship and what became an effective "brain washing" of the masses.

http://www.ushmm.org/outreach/en/articl ... d=10007677

The fact that Faux News can spread Faux news is evidence of our freedom and immunity from future Holocaust, as long as another view can be equally presented and amplified.

The prelude to the War in Iraq after 9/11 provides evidence of how vulnerable the public is on a turn of a dime, to the social contagion of the masses driven by empathic concern whether it is "Faux" or not.

The public was metaphorically convinced that the terrorists in those planes were effectively from an entirely different country, per Saudi instead of Iraqi.

I think that type of scenario is less likely with the broad band access to internet widely available today. There is a level of interaction and access to dissent that has never been at this level in all of human history.

On the other hand, there is less potential for what one can describe as a commonly shared culture.

That is part of the price to pay for freedom. There are limits on freedom as well, per cost/benefit.

Perhaps they are harder to find.
