Watch the two videos at this link. These guys are trying to get funding for a concept they call "Gray State", based on right wing conspiracy theories about FEMA and monetary collapse. Yes, they believe the theories are real, but it looks like their script has potential. If people will see an awful remake of Red Dawn where the villains are North Koreans, why not a Red Dawn where the villain is a tyrannical US govt? Maybe they can find some zillionaire in Silicon Valley who would be willing to fund them, or maybe they can go to the same conservatives who funded An American Carol. For the record, I think David Icke's reptilian-overlord theories would make a cool movie or TV series (in my mind's eye, it's a TV show). Some of these conspiracy theories are so intricate, and usually involve an "awakened" public fighting back, that they have definite Hollywood potential. I put this in PPR since this is definitely politics related, and not just a random discussion about say Star Trek.

It looks like it would at least be a good movie if it ever gets released which it probably won't.
And yes, we conservatives are at least somewhat un-trusting of government. Don't waste your time waiting for that to ever change.
