pornography is an industry that makes money on people's misery. Pretty much anyone involved including the viewers. The release of chemicals in the brain from porn viewing has been compared to a hit of crack, although a really weak hit at that. Just look up how porn impacts the brain. It is very interesting stuff. It is somewhat theoretical but it makes sense once you understand how neurotransmitters and endorphins work in the brain.

Also, I believe it is why there is so much PUA culture. Men constantly watch porn and then they want to do exactly what they are seeing. Women also feel like they cannot compete with the women in porn.

Some women become more depressed because they can no longer please their husband probably because he is secretly watching porn and fantasizing about other women. Seriously most women would not like the fact that their man is checking out other women on the home computer right under her nose. If she finds out you are in big trouble.

I was reading something about this in a Psychology magazine. I would say we live in the Porn generation and it is only going to get much worse. Cheating and divorce are on the rise.

The forum software must be broken again. The links to your sources don't seem to be working.

Frankly, feminists (as a whole) only care about women. If men were hooked into "milking machines" and treated like caged animals, most probably wouldn't be bothered by it.

Pretty much. I have seen my share of men who go through nearly the same stuff as women in porn from multiple partners to types of bondage...So saying that porn is merely misogyny as this point is just being selfish about others who not only have to, but actually like going through this, too (trans and men).

I find it stupid as well especially since sex positive feminists disagree as well, feminism is supposed to be against slut shaming but they are doing exactly what they are supposed to be against. It is not degrading or mysogynistic if a woman wants to get into porn especially ammature porn involving 2 partners giving each other consent and enjoying doing what they do.

I'm pretty sure that when feminists rail against porn, they are railing against a "porn culture" that objectifies woman as sex objects (i.e. advertisements, videogame/sports culture, movies) rather than the actual porn industry.

Essentially, stuff that you (and impresionable young people) can routinely see daily on television rather than something you keep hidden under your bed or on a flash drive.

No, they are ranting against the porn industry because a lot of professional porn is actually dehumanising to the women pornstars and you can tell many women don't seem to enjoy doing those scenes much despite their fake smiles and bad acting. Even I as someone who's anti-feminist have noted this.

Unless they are being held against their will and forced to participate, I imagine there'd be some regulations in place to prevent any dehumanizing treatment....but then I don't know a ton about the porn industry let along all the different sorts and I especially don't know what goes on in any kind of illegal porn and don't want to since that is probably where dehumanizing treatment of women and probably under-age kids takes place most often. But as I say I don't know much about porn in general, but from what i understand the females are doing it as a job just like the males involved?

I agree right there as long as it doesn't involve under age kids or women being forced and raped and abused It should be ok.

I also have had times where I've had sex and it did not turn out to be very enjoyable....but those where by choice, sometimes the mood is wrong or both people suck at it...or whatever but no forcing was involved. So I guess I am not sure its dehuminizing if its not a fully enjoyed experience....I figure their focus is more on making money than having great sex to be in porns but could be wrong.

Whelp, if there were enough blowjobs going around, porn would not exist. From my experience, women are incapable of understanding the connection between the brain and the balls. I believe there to be a sexual release frequency necessary for male mental health. If these ladies want to put an end to porn, they'd best start puttin' out.

Not going to happen, porn will never come to an end and there will always be ladies putting out if they like the guy enough to do it to make them feel special some even willing to be exhibitionists and have an open mind hence porn will always be around. Also If a woman likes you enough and is offering to have sex with you don't reject her advances I rejected a woman's advances after dating her for 3 months and it destroyed the relationship.
