According to media accounts today, (ex-)US Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) is currently tied for the Democratic primary for Mayor of New York City (NYC).

While I personally don't live in The City, the position's national prestige is probably on par with some of the top governorships, and the holders of the post have included such luminaries as La Guardia, Koch, Giuliani, and Bloomberg*.

Given Rep. Weiner's policy focus during his term in the US Congress, what do you see as the outcome of his (possible) victory?

*Yes, I realize that a number of posters in PPR have a bone to pick with one or the other of the referenced individuals. I'm throwing them out there since each has played a part in either national or international affairs during their time in office.

That is amazing. Anthony "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" Weiner might actually become hizzoner.
