Al Sharpton is forming a chorus is protests against the recent verdict and is pushing on Eric Holder, the U.S. version of the Nazi Judge Roland Freisler, to indict Zimmerman under the 2009 Hate Crimes Act. To make that charge stick he would have to prove that Zimmerman killed Trayvon, purely because Trayvon was an N-word and that Zimmerman hates N-words. This is even harder to prove than the second degree murder charge against Zimmerman of which he was recently acquitted.

Al Sharpton is a parasite and desperate to stay relevant, this is his meal ticket.

It's going to take a long time for the dust from this to settle.
Sharpton and Holder are both just symptoms of the disease of progressiveness that has fallen upon this country like a locust. Holder probably should be in jail on other charges not directly related to this.

People are allowed to complain about verdicts. The OJ result comes to mind. The best hope for Martin's family is a judge allowing a civil suit. Zimmerman is going to profit and they should take that from him.

It's not that they are complaining, of course they are free to complain, write books, and make movies if they want.
The point is that it was a weak case lacking in evidence and and convincing testimony and the jury rendered a verdict based on that.
It was the only verdict that they could have come back with and still considered themselves honest and worthy of being jurors.

Maybe that's true. I don't have a big issue with the verdict given the legal uncertainty about what caused the fight. But there is a still chance that Zimmerman instigated it and got away with murder.

He could have very well instigated the fight and and might be guilty as sin but we'll never know. All we know for sure is that there was a fight, Martin was killed, and the prosecution didnt have nearly enough of a case to convict Zimmerman.
If, and ONLY if, Zimmerman did actually kill Martin without sufficient justification then he is not the first or the last to get away with it.

I don't see how Sharpton is a progressive. I saw him in a debate and he sounded like a religious fanatic.

If he prosecution had gone for a manslaughter charge rather than a murder charge they might have gotten a conviction. In any case the prosecution never proved mens rae so their case was dead on arrival.

Manslaughter was included but they didn't have enough evidence to convict for that, either.

Wow I was looking on the internet on the information on the verdicts and CBS is reporting that even though Zimmerman is free in the eyes of the law he will always be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life. The found a Facebook page called "Kill Zimmerman" with 6600 likes and Twitter hashtags saying the same thing. THIS is the kind of mentality that sent Zimmerman in the state of paranoia in the first place. Too many self righteous Americans sick in the head think that KILLING a man is justifiable because he killed a man in self defense. America has completely lost sight of the concept of civilized in a civilization. I am not disgusted with the verdict because the system worked as it should have. I'm more disgusted with the justification of more crime in the name of revenge. An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind for heaven sake!

I recently heard Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson collectively referred to as the "grievance-industrial complex"; I kinda like it.

s**t, I thought that you had a crazy hysterical right wing with all this Tea Party stuff, but at least you had some reasonable left wing. Or at least this is what looks from here in Europe.

But this Zimmermar case... dear god, it looks like your left wing there in US is as brainless as the one here. I was reading some articles and founding the same 'in the clouds' symptoms that left has here in Europe.

If this is what you have at the left, and the right alternative is the Tea Party, you're screwed, guys. Sorry to say that.

Indeed, if this is what remains from the western world left, we're all screwed.

It can't be said better.

If a sane person shots a guy that is beating him down in the floor, it's because he really fears for his life. So right now he's getting a gun back, and I hope there's not a new tragedy.
