I'm not much of a Christian these days, but:

Luke 12:34/Matthew 6:21 "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be there also"

Not a verse, but I love the vast majority of Ecclesiastes, and Job is pretty cool too.

I also like Matthew 7:5. Not because I dislike hypocrisy, I just love the poetry.

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. -Ecclesiastes 12:13

The genocides in the Bible are the best part.

Song of Solomon 4:16

Quote:
Awake, O north wind,
and come, O south wind!
Blow upon my garden,
let its spices flow.
Let my beloved come to his garden,
and eat its choicest fruits.

 :P

Deuteronomy 21:18-21
"If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him, 19 his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town. 20 They shall say to the elders, "This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a profligate and a drunkard." 21 Then all the men of his town shall stone him to death."

There are so many good ones to choose. Oh, I know. Kill the men and rape the women, always a favorite.

Deuteronomy 20:13-15
13 When the Lord your God delivers it into your hand, put to the sword all the men in it. 14 As for the women, the children, the livestock and everything else in the city, you may take these as plunder for yourselves. And you may use the plunder the Lord your God gives you from your enemies. 15 This is how you are to treat all the cities that are at a distance from you and do not belong to the nations nearby.

There are so many good God or God commanded killings, I don't know which one to choose. All estimated 24 million of them:

This is actually one of my favorites:

Deuteronomy 25:11-12
"If two Israelite men get into a fight and the wife of one tries to rescue her husband by grabbing the testicles of the other man, you must cut off her hand. Show her no pity."

That's good stuff to live by.

To be fair, the babies during Noah's days deserved it.

Matthew 7:7-8
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you: For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.

I interpret it as being assertive about my needs and wants, and being optimistic that they will be fulfilled if I only reach out to other people instead of being all shy about it.
