Government in a nutshell...

I wish there'd be real martial law. With the military. I'd much rather have nice normal military folks patrolling the streets than cops. I remember I told an old man this and he was like "then you'd have troops with M16s in the streets." I loled. Cops already got M4s in most squad cars.

What makes you think the military won't abuse their power like cops are already doing? They'd have even more to abuse.
