Racism, Gun Ownership and Gun Control - a study

Interesting, but there are too many limitations on this study for me to consider it as any type of actual evidence.

Both sides of this issue are like most things in the U.S. rooted in racism.

Gun Control folks don't want "criminals" (read Blacks and underclass Whites) to have guns because the are afraid of "crime".

Pro-Gun folks are scared of and want to shoot black folks ... and to a lesser extent underclass whites.

Of course this is my opinion so it is gospel.

At the very least, gun control laws in the US will disproportionately affect blacks and urban whites. I remember reading that rural whites (some of whom are probably "underclass") are more likely to have legal guns but commit just as much gun crime. Of course that could be well wide of the mark.

I live in a poor sparsely populated mostly white rural area.The last homicide with a gun in this county was a few years back.Mostly you have to worry about meth heads stealing your guns to trade for crank.Its not unusual for someone to have a dozen or so firearms.Lots of hunters in this area,for food mostly.

White privilege in America extends to folks that would not extend to in the UK.
The Meth epidemic in america is almost completely white and rural but the penalties are not as strong as those for crack consumption tends to be used more by urban black folks and Canadian mayors.

Powdered Cocaine use of course has the lightest penalties.

Nonsensical article there, I don't put any value in it. Symbolic unconscious racism, give me a break.

People that favor gun-control are the ones that are fearful. Fearful of blacks, fearful of the quiet kid in class, fearful of our veterans, fearful of their fellow law abiding citizens. So they put their trust in a criminal government.

If you read it carefully, the authors are very upfront about every aspect of this study as well as its limitations, right down to stating that the wording of a certain question likely influenced gender based answers.

As I stated in the original post: interesting, but too many limitations in this study for me to consider it as any type of actual evidence.

That article made no sense at all just a few idiots living in a bubble trying to justify their paranoid fantasies. Why so that their dogmatic beliefs don't look more foolish than some Jesus freak when in reality the bible makes more sense than what the people who did this study believe in. There isn't any real racism towards blacks anymore as long as they act like human beings and not a conglomeration of different people in rap videos then people treat them like everyone else. What do you expect when you have idiots talking about imaginary things like white privilege and racism as if they are relevant real and effect anyone.

Not nearly as many as most black people I know black people who live in rural areas have just as many guns as white people do. The only thing that keeps people in areas like mine from getting guns is a felony on record otherwise it is a big part of the culture white black Asian Indian and native American we all have guns and want to keep them without being labeled as criminals.
