Topfreedom: It's a Trap!

I know a lot of people here hate MRAs but this is another MRA thread.

There are some groups that think women should be able to go around topless because men can. I would provide a link to one of their sites they all contain nudity so I won't bother. Google "topfreedom".

Here's the problem: if women all go around topless then men are going to stare and they are probably going to be charged with sexual harassment just for staring. Clothing laws are misogynistic but our society has an anti-male view of sexual harassment. Women can get away with things that would be considered sexual harassment if a man did them.

I, therefore, refuse to support topfreedom until I know I am safe from accusations of sexual harassment. I see other forms of nudism or proto-nudism in the same way.

That is all.

Actually, it's not that big of a deal.
In New York State, anywhere a man can go topless, a woman can too. It's been that way since 1992. Not much changed. There are not a whole lot of women anxious to go around topless, and the ones who do, you really don't want to see topless. Also the weather there is not very conducive for anyone to go topless most of the year.

Then if it's a normal thing to see a woman topless, it won't be that big of a deal. There may be stares at first when things change, but not long after it would be the same as seeing them with a tight shirt.

One could say that some clothes can make them look better

I don't think that you can get charged with harassment just for looking at a topless woman in a public place, unless you're following or staring at one woman exclusively, to the degree that you were making a nuisance of yourself. Even then, the cops would probably just move you along.
You would be considered a creep, though.
