While Mr. Taylor's views on race are abhorrent, I welcome any news that announces or promises the abolition of that government-sponsored racist policy known as "Affirmative Action".

The problem here is that the word racism does not adequately describe the united states view on race.
A better term for american racism is White Supremacy.

Affirmative Action is not and has never been an anti-racist law it was designed to combat White Supremacy.

When seen in those terms it makes sense and it has not yet fulfilled its function.

This calling white-supremacy racism lead to all kinds of semantic muddles on the right and the left.

Caltech, recently ranked as the # 1 university in the world, and (in)famous for its complete rejection of Affirmative Action, has a 40 percent Asian undergraduate population. That is more than 8 times the percentage of Asian Americans in the general population (4.8 percent), and almost 3 times the Asian population percentage in California (13.6 percent). The White undergraduate percentage at Caltech is 31 percent.

In comparison, Harvard University (# 2 on the same list, and an Affirmative Action University) has a white undergraduate percentage of 46 percent, and an Asian-American percentage of 27 percent.

Looks like being against Affirmative-Action disproportionally benefits Asian Supremacy, not White Supremacy... at the top-of-the-top-of-the-top level, at least.

Unintended consequences, it is not my fault White folks suck at stuff.

If the U.S. was built on on Asian Slavery would you expect to see different numbers?

Another unintended consequence is the number of African students at U.S. universities.

Section 1 of the 14th Amendment to The Constitution of the United States wrote:
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

a. Affirmative Action gives preference in education and hiring to non-whites, regardless of merit.

Affirmative action is the denial of merit.

For the longest time Jewish student suffered from Affirmative Action undertaken by the top U.S. schools to limit Jewish enrollment. It is and was called the quota system. It went like this: if student were accepted purely on the basis of academic merit then 60 to 70 percent of the students at the top schools would be Jews. This is clearly unfair to Gentiles so the colleges and universities introduced affirmative action to aid the poor gentiles.

Uh, we enslaved these people for 250 years and we can't even give them preferential treatment in college admissions? Hell, we should be buying every one of them a brand new Escalade which they should be allowed to drive as fast as they want.

I've only been alive a bit over 40 years and I've never enslaved anyone. I suspect you've never had slaves either. Please explain to me why we should be held accountable for something people did a long time before either of us were born.

Who is this "We" you're referring to? I've never been a slave-owner.
