I grew up listening to my parents talk about politics, so I am just a copy of what their views are. I am on a journey to discover my own views and opinions. I am not doing it because of being different than my parents, but I want to explore new possibilities. I hear you can take tests and read the news, but I am not good at tests, and I have a hard time understanding what is being said in the news at all.

For an example of my struggle, take my dad: he is very traditional about marriage and opposes the LGBT movements. My sister believes that mom and dad are ignorant over the point of civil unions v. marriages. They are both polarized in their own opinions.

If someone is that seriously opposed to gay marriage, then they should be out of luck. The problem is, I think I know my opinion well, but I have trouble comprehending it in reading.

So...

You find thinking about opinions to be difficult, writing about opinions to be difficult, and reading about opinions to be difficult.

Correct?

Thats alot of difficulty there.

My suggestion: dont worry about it.

When you're ready to have opinions youll be ready.
