Since there are quite a few people from the UK here, they might find the following interesting.
"The National Survey of Sexual Attitudes and Lifestyles" was recently published in the UK, documenting the sexual attitudes and lifestyles in Britain based on a survey of 15,000 participants.
Here are some of the key findings in graphics:
Some key bullet points:
- The age of first sex has been steadily decreasing, while the age of parenthood has been steadily increasing. At the same time, the frequency of sexual intercourse has dropped.
- A significant minority of women (16 percent) report having same-sex experience compared to 7 percent of men.
- 9.8 percent of women and 1.4 percent of men report having had sex against their will (a ratio of 7:1). For both sexes - and in agreement with previous studies - the perpetrator was frequently (more than 80 percent of cases) known to the victim.

Oh, and some food-for-thought from the second image, quite relevant to a current debate in the US:
"We found that unplanned pregnancy was less common than has been found in studies done in some other high income countries such as the USA. This may in part reflect the fact that contraception is provided free of charge in Britain under the NHS."
