1. supernatural interference is in no way a necessity to explain the origin of the universe, or indeed the diversity of life on this small suburb of this galaxy, we have sufficient scientific understanding to know that these things can occur naturally.
2. The universe is overwhelmingly hostile to life and has been, from its inception, utterly chaotic. Doesn't support the design hypothesis, also considering that life is sparsely scattered across the cosmos at best.
3. No one has ever been able to back up supernatural claims under laboratory conditions.
4. God/(s) of the various religions of the world are suspiciously anthropomorphic and concerned with human affairs for transcendental beings.
5. The supposed wisdom imparted to the prophets of religions by said gods is largely demonstrably false- it's fairly plain the world isn't carried on the back of a celestial turtle, noah and co. would've died of oxygen starvation, creationism in its most literally interpreted form is plainly BS.
6. The first clause argument makes little sense- it starts by asserting deterministically that everything must be caused by something else, and that there must therefore be a first, uncaused cause- but the conclusion violates the very premise of the argument.
There are 6 decent objections, but atheists have no right to be smug- just because you don't believe in a deity, doesn't mean you can't still be an idiot, or indeed superstitious.
