This is why I'd rather have women rule my life, rather than males:

* Females are more likely to be more lenient towards people with mental illnesses, showing more empathy.
* Women have higher quality standards of health care than males. By being ruled by women, one must expect to get the same quality care.
* Females are more soft on just about any issues that, if males had to decide my fate, I would be dead by now. (I would be conscripted, refuse military service, get thrown in jail, then committing suicide).

Females documented my case, and then I avoided military conscription.

The society is only so cruel, because males are deciding the fate of the society. Males invented the military, they have to serve in it then.

If males were as dominant as they were 200 years ago, I wouldn't survive.

More feminism please, as long as I don't have to be one myself.

This was written by a male who is straight.

Nice bait.

Seriously, though, this is what I mean when I say, "When you ask for equality, do you really know what you are asking for?"

Yeah, I know many women would gladly give up every real and perceived "advantage" they enjoy under the current system, but not all women would want that.

Men have it different....they don't always have it better.

YEAH! And they've got the "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants"! Damnit, my pants want to travel too! They want to see Paris, and London, and the all the wonders of the world! But they never will! How is that even fair?

My pants had dreams, people!

I agree with that.

Ultimately, I'm more interested in identifying cultural and systematic inequalities that affect either sex and correcting them as opposed to engaging in endless arguments over who "has it harder."

How is less likely to use drugs a privilege?Thats a choice.
Less likely to live in poverty?Tell that to the women in third world countries.

I've encountered some women who were just plain horrible. And, they seemed to believe that being female gave them a special entitlement to be horrible. They certainly enjoyed less accountability than a man in the same position.

But, I've also met some women who were perfectly nice.

I've learned not to trust anyone in a position of power, and to be especially wary of women in power.

How is living longer a privilege?Thats just biology. Not that there's anything wrong with living longer.
If it's directed at first world countries, why does it mention emigrating for work?
I do agree there should be shelters for men who are victims of domestic violence.
No one male or female should get the job unless they can actually do it.Lets say you are in a burning building, you have a choice of being rescued by Venus Williams or the actor DJ Qualls.
You know you'd have a better chance with the person who has the strength, male or female.Venus would be physically able to get you out better than a skinny man.
Men do have exclusive clubs,Boy Scouts and fraternal organizations.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !

You have NEVER met the women I've met, then. Women are rules-bound, rigid, and utterly unable to deal with anyone who does not fit their standard of "normal".

Quote:

They have "higher quality standards" when it comes to themselves, but not to men--men have to "stop whining" and "man up" when it comes to health issues.

Quote:
* Females are more soft on just about any issues that, if males had to decide my fate, I would be dead by now. (I would be conscripted, refuse military service, get thrown in jail, then committing suicide).

Females are unforgiving, vindictive, and unable to forget any wrong. Indeed, they delight in raking up all old sins and piling them on your head, over and over again. Females are harder on any issue than are men. I've seen it. Men want tolerance. Women want their way or no other way at all--and they'll build up a massive passive-aggressive list of all the times they didn't get their way.

Quote:

If cruelty were a deity, it would be a goddess. Men cannot even begin to approach the capacity for cruelty had by women.

Have you ever been married? If you have, you would have a more realistic picture of women. They are far more pleasant from afar than up close.

brianmaloney^^^^^I was also married and could give you a description of everything unpleasant about THAT male. Not all are like him and I'm not going to measure all men by that jerk.
You sure seem bitter, angry and full of judgement. So all women are exactly the same?
You are full of malarky.

"Less mental health referrals"

You mean their health referrals are saner?

The difference between "less" and "fewer" is non-trivial.
