I need to get into this subculture...
Where could I be thoroughly trained in biology?
I want to be "into" medicine and saving lives the way I can list random sh!t about damn computer games (and their technology, more specifically) or when I was a little younger, Pokemon.
I wanna be a part of some important subculture devoted to this stuff...I see people die all the time (my dad's aunt who raised him during the War in India died a few hours in Pakistan from Hepatitis C, may she rest in peace) and I wonder, what if it were me or my dad or my friend or my uncle or my teacher (we had an ANCIENT sub in middle school like 2007 who died a couple months ago, and no one gave a sh**, I'm so f*****g pissed about it.
I'm so pitiful, looking for stupid "fulfillment" from video games and other frivolties and (like most of society) "self-actualization" from some stupid job or romance or socialization that does nothing in the long run...Yes, I mean the LONG,LONG, infinity-stretching hopeful period, because I feel like many of you and I have very similar philosophical points of view, and while I could just hang out on motivational blogs or people like this guy http://dwarsement.com/ like liberal creative writers...but what's that gonna do? Sure, mindshare is an important thing, spreading views goes a LONG way "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead
I mean she was Christian, but still, really sums up my view right there...Granted, the point is I feel like I need to do something...This illusion/cognitive dissonance ignoring the permanence, how petty and meaningless it's shown to be, I feel like there should be people out there who actively try to make a difference, that I've been oblivious to my whole life.
Sorry for the rant, will make a new thread on this topic.

There are so many Health Sciences Centers all over the place. First you need a B.A. in Biology. 4.0 G.P.A. and admission into a medical school. Then you go train at one of those Health Sciences Centers affiliated with a university. All the states have one.

i know but i was thinking im so into computer games or rock music because of the huge and (to me) interesting subculture of enthusiasts (i.e. I play/listen certain games/albums only because of the deep reviews going "Oh its influential/masterpiece/legend" like i gotta experience it...social influence i suppose.
Same goes for working out with friends..motivational
I was thinking if I get involved in some sort of community into this stuff...it'd help me concentrate/dedicate myself to it.
