I must attest to this. On the comments sections of many articles on trans issues, I am overwhelmed by the sheer volume of toxic messages. It wears me down.

Perhaps, as LGTB rights expand, then the opposition will get more angry and toxic.

So, it is going to get much worse before it gets better.

Yup, it's pretty incredible. People just love to post a comment about their Amazing Opinion About How Trans Women Aren't Really Women Because Of DNA. They just have to tell you about this amazing opinion. They can't help it.

Another really annoying thing is when pre-op trans women are called "traps", regardless of context. "Trap" means a very specific thing - it implies that the person is trying to deceive potential partners into thinking that they are biologically female. I'm sure that happens sometimes, but a lot of people on the internet seem to think that all pre-op trans women are "traps".
