Riding with my sister driving and first thing she gets home is "Thank you God, Thak you Jesus, Thank you holy spirit." It took everything I had not to reach over and smack her in the head. Then we come inside and there is the story of the "rattlesnake handling pastor" being killed by a rattlesnake bite after he has been bitten before and not been killed and has convinced his followers(and I am sure financial contributors) that the reason he has bot been killed before is "Divine intervention." SMH 1000 times.
and then SMH 10000 times more with a brick. When I try to explain the science of gradually building up immunity, both sisters present turn their heads and look away as if I am insane. This after one of them has just argued with me the whole trip home that "slickery" is a real word.

I feel like crap when I allow that stuff to jump out of me. I respect peoples right to believe what they want and I don't want to hurt my sisters feelings, but it' so hard sometimes to sit still and listen to this stuff.

I simply focus on someone intention. When we announced to be pregnant, I got as well from my father in law an christian blessed "guarding angel" amulet.. My first reaction was "WTF", but in the end it simply means, that he wishes the best for me and the kid, and wearing it has no negative effect on me, so its ok and nice of him. An aunt already "oscillated" as well, what gender the kid will be *head -> desk*, so why no blessed guardian angel amulet. ^^ (At least the mother in law was more practical and gifted me with augmenting my basic medical insurance to a better one.)

As long as people cause no bad things with their religion or believes, no need to anger yourself, anyway how "weird" it seems to you.
