theory of mind
i wrote a small peace about the buddhist concept of tathata, i wanted to put it here so it may inspire any reader of this site.
on tathata
the sound a baby makes when confronted with desire for expresion might be dada or tata depending on the phonetics.
there are 2 types of meaning that might be attached to this type of expresion one might be the expresionate meaning and one might be the implicit meaning.
thus the baby saying thata might mean it wants an apple or a bannan combined with a gesture towards such an object.
that being the expresionate meaning of the sound the baby makes.
the implicit meaning would be that the baby has some kind of awereness of the apple and combines this with any residual instinct
and desides trough wuwei that it wants an apple.
not the decision, but the actual awerenes of an apple and the combination of this apple with instinct can be called tathata.
