It sucks that another Tea Party pudding-head is now in Congress, but Cantor gone is still a good thing. One Napoleaonic complex down, more to come.

Cantor was one of the #1 fascists congress, THANK YOU GOD that he is gone. Hopefully Boehner is next.

A brat by any other name is still a brat. Cantor was the quintessential image of a petulant, chest thumping, dirt kicking brat, Good riddance

Cantor is the first sitting House Majority Leader to lose since 1899 and the first EVER to lose his in his party's primary

he outspent primary opponent something like 25:1

this really is a historic upset, Wall Street and the Chamber of Commerce have been put on notice

Here's to hoping Thad Cochran is next, Chris McDaniels beat him but didn't get 50% and now their race is going to a runoff. McDaniels is a legit liberty candidate AFAIK, just got endorsed by Ron Paul. Karl Rove, the Chamber of Commerce, and other monied interests have been spending MASSIVE amounts of money to fight anyone that challenges the GOP establishment.

Cantor and Boehner both deserve the boot after perpetually playing political chicken with the US economy just because they don't like obamacare. It's just plain childish.

The Democratic Party pushed hard to get this guy elected. The idea is that establishment Republicans are much harder to oust then some dude with no political experience who's going to get into office and make an ass out of himself like all the other Tea Party bigshots.

Bad side to this is that Tea Party Conservatives are even more dishonest and lacking integrity than mainstream Conservatives. Tea Party Conservatives don't even pretend to care. They take pride in being deceitful. They believe dishonesty is an act of virtue. They are the equivalent of the Taliban. They (Tea Party) exploit and hide behind Christianity just as casually as Muslim extremists exploit and hide behind Islam.

Somehow, I imagine your tone would be different if you were reporting Republican meddling in a Democratic primary, more outraged and less smug. I'm not convinced that's what swung it regardless, the anti-establishment streak runs deep in the GOP base, and Cantor outspent Brat 20-1, which would make any Democratic contribution spit in the wind.

You think Democrats are honest and have integrity so it's hard to take your opinion very seriously,

The real Tea Party(not the fake co-opted one the GOP estrablishment tries to piggyback) are against these wars, they're against the NSA, they're against the big business plot to further destroy the American worker by pushing amnesty.

The Virginia GOP has been in the midst of a civil war for the better part of a year now between the Cantor-establishment forces and the Tea Party-Cuccinelli ones.
