When did you grow weary of Socialists?

For me, it was about the time I left high school. Going by a certain falsely-attributed quotation, that puts me at least a decade ahead of the curve. No danger of having been a socialist at thirty.
In my adult life, seeing how lifeless the welfare state and its cronies are, and the difficulty of getting even the most basic, minimum-wage employment made even more difficult by daydreamers telling me they're acting in "my best interest" (and by feeding the Beast of Government, legitimizing and further enabling militarism, the growing surveillence state, and conservative moral policing, ironically enough), has done nothing to counter that attitude.
