There is a Historian who theorises that Stonehenge was the product of ancient hacks This may be little more than an entertaining theory, but it made me think of what relics of our civilisation will be considered important and which will be discarded. Its rather humbling to think that the Pyramids of Giza could be dismissed as trash incinerators while our tenements slums and 70's thatcherite monstrosities could be heralded as great religious monuments.

How many think that this civilisation will last long enough to leave a lasting impression for whatever generations follow? What will it take to ensure virtual immortality for this global civilisation?

In another thousand years or so, human beings will unearth a barbecue and go "I wonder to what religious God offerings were sacrificed on this altar?"

We have no idea of how people will think in future times though.

As Stonehenge had taken centuries to gradually erect, I sincerely doubt it was the work of "hacks."

Construction time isn't disputed but the process is disputed

I tend to agree. Stonehenge is sacred. To suggest that it was a botched job rides roughshod over all the ancient awesomeness. Still lol stonehenge isn't up for discussion lol
