And my response to Israelis: we're not into flying flags, but you're extremely welcome here - as are all good folk - in my part of Lancashire as tourists and most other things too. The countryside is cracking and the pubs are well worth visiting. Why would you want to go to Bradford anyway?

Rejecting goods and services would be fair enough, if not something I necessarily agree with (I'm too busy boycotting tax evading coffee shops to worry about Israeli computer parts), but rejecting tourism seems silly and impractical, and his comments about the nation as a whole are outright bad taste.

Anyone can declare anything, but Galloway is not in a position to enforce the declaration. He is, however, being investigated by the police, possibly for hate speech.

/\ I'm not anti-Israel in the least but that guy should be able to say what he wants about boycotting Israel. Being investigated by the police for "hate speech", assuming what he said in the video is the hate crime in question, is actually considerably more disturbing.

I'm not a huge fan of hate speech laws either.

If you like free speech, don't go to Britain.

People should know better than to form an opinion based on a sound bite.

Most of the time Gorgeous George is spot on, but he is considered something of an unstable bomb even by many of those on the left so i'm not sure what agenda this thread has, from a partisan perspective.
